The topic of stereotypes is of interest to many. Although most people are familiar with stereotypes of race, gender, sexual orientation, and age – topics of many of the blogs on The Communicated Stereotype – other stereotypes may garner less attention because they are more easily overlooked.

A new book titled The Mama’s Boy Myth by Kate Stone Lombardi discusses one of these stereotypes that is discussed less frequently.
